Inspiration: the swirling vortex of the sun
Artistic Process: Sunny Odyssey started with laying out colored glass in patterns on top of a structure with holes in it, as the kiln heated up to high temperatures, the glass became molten and flowed through the holes to a glass circle in a stainless steel frame. This begins to swirl the glass into patterns, I then opened the kiln and manipulated the glass to create swirls, movement and flow then the glass was annealed and cooled, coldworked and finished into a design.
