River Adventure

Inspiration:  Kayaking and hiking along the river.  Beautiful banks and scenery along the river and some trails to pull up to and see where they lead. 

This curved sculpture looks great on its own, in a window or as a candle screen with a candle behind it.  

Artistic Process: The background is glass made with with glass to represent grass, trees, banks and rocks as well as the river.  Once the initial background was fired together, I added rocks and trails with lots of texture and 3D and fired to the background to keep the texture.  The final firing was to form the glass into its curved shape with the bottom ground so it stands level and stable.
