Meetup at the Tivoli Hibiscus

Kilnformed wall art with kiln-casted hibiscus, butterflies, ladybug and bee which are installed with rare earth magnets and nesting standoffs made for glass installations.  

I designed the colors and structure of the glass and then manipulated the glass at high temperatures to swirl the colors into patterns.  After cold working, the glass is firepolished while adding texture.

The artwork is mounted with a standoff on brushed stainless steel, wired for hanging with welded brackets to keep the artwork flat and straight on the wall with no tilting.
