A triptych mounted all together focused on triangles, greens and the sparkle of dichroic glass.
Inspiration: all the greens in nature - leaves, shrubs, grass, meadows, trails and more. Especially the growth and renewal of spring. Pushing myself for larger abstract art.
Artistic Process: first the design then lots of measuring and cutting of glass into 6 large triangles of dark green (2 fused together for each section (triangle). The smaller center triangle was made with glass powder mixed with water and then combined to create a marbled effect of greens with a bit of white. The thicker components start with aventurine green base, cutting up many different styles of dichroic glass and making a mosaic with clear glass on top to create depth, all casted. other dichroic components are cut. All the embellishments (components) were then tack fused to the background. All 3 large triangles were mounted on brushed stainless steel in a specific planned designed. it is wired for hanging with welded brackets to keep the artwork flat and straight on the wall with no tilting.
Dimensions: 30" wide x 20" tall x 2.5" deep
