Dichroic Mosaic on Black Mini Guitar Sculpture
Do you love guitars, know someone who plays a guitar, do you love music?
How was it made? A mosaic of various dichroic glass are carefully put together on a background of black glass. The first step was to make a temporary mold of a guitar, then to fill the bottom with black glass, then arrange the cut up pieces of various dichroic glass through out the guitar shape in the mold and then put clear glass on top of the dichroic glass. The glass is then fired to cast into the mold. After that firing, I grinded smooth all the edges and then it was fire polished in the kiln. The guitar is epoxied to a stand that was made by cutting three pieces for varying sizes and tack fusing them into the stand. ,
