Dancing Sunflowers

Inspiration:  Beautiful Sunflower fields 

Sunflowers dancing in the wind -- lots of texture with 3D sunflowers, leaves, ladybug.  it stands on its own.

Artistic Process: The background is glass made with with a streaky blue/white swirl for the sky and a swirl blend of greens for the grass with a clear glass on top for more depth in the movement.  The sunflowers are casted in a pate de verre technique and then were tack fired to the background along with a small ladybug.  The final firing was to form the glass into a shape that stands on its own.
