Sparkling Joy

Inspiration:  Sparkling elegance while thinking of warmth and waves.  

Artistic Process: Designing, cutting  and firing together various dichroic glass with clear glass on top to create depth.  Then it was formed into a wavy format.  

The artwork is mounted on brushed stainless steel, wired for hanging with welded brackets to keep the artwork flat and straight on the wall with no tilting.

Dimensions:  8" wide x 14"tall x 2.5" deep

• Dichroic glass - Thin layers of metallic oxides, such as titanium, silicon, and magnesium are deposited upon the surface of the glass in a high temperature, vacuum furnace. This creates a brilliant coating on the glass that displays more than one color, especially when viewed from different angles.
