Red Pizzazz

Inspiration: Glass art sculpture depicting the shining, sparkling paths we can dream of and take. 

Artistic Process:  The background is black and then is layered with red glass organic paths, along with designs of various dichroic glass*.  

The glass stand is kilnformed into a shape to support the sculpture with coldworking to ensure the bottom is level and sturdy. 

Dimensions: 11.5" wide x 12.5"tall x 3" deep

• Dichroic glass - Thin layers of metallic oxides, such as titanium, silicon, and magnesium are deposited upon the surface of the glass in a high temperature, vacuum furnace. This creates a brilliant coating on the glass that displays more than one color, especially when viewed from different angles.
