A glass sculpture in the shape of a triangle with rhythm and flows of greens with the sparkle of dichroic glass.
Inspiration: all the greens in nature - leaves, shrubs, grass, meadows, trails and more. Especially the growth and renewal of spring.
Artistic Process: First the design then lots of measuring and cutting of glass into 2 large triangles of dark green (2 fused together for each section (triangle). The smaller center triangle was made with glass powder mixed with water and then combined to create a marbled effect of greens with a bit of white. The thicker components start with an aventurine green base, cutting up many different styles of dichroic glass and making a mosaic with clear glass on top to create depth, all casted. other dichroic components are cut. All the embellishments (components) were then tack fused to the background. Displayed in a black steel stand that keeps the sculpture very sturdy.
Dimensions: 12" wide x 20" tall x 3.5" deep
