Inspiration: Vibrant colors in nature that complement flowers, grass, trees, butterflies, bees and more.
Artistic Process: Glass art sculpture - Kilnformed glass abstract background and glass stand. Kiln-casted monarch butterflies, rainbow daisy, ladybug and , bee are installed with either rare-earth magnets or stand-offs made for glass installations.
I designed the colors and structure of the glass and then manipulated the glass at high temperatures to swirl the colors into patterns. After cold working, the glass is firepolished while adding texture.
The glass stand is kilnfired then kilnformed into a shape to support the sculpture with coldworking to ensure the bottom is level and sturdy.
