Inspired by the blooming flowers in the botanical garden.
Artistic Process: kilnfired glass sculpture - I designed the colors, structure and shape of the glass and then manipulated the glass at high temperatures to swirl the colors into patterns. After cold working, the glass was firepolished while adding texture.
The glass stand is kilnfired then kilnformed into a shape to support the sculpture with coldworking to ensure the bottom is level and sturdy.
