My inspiration: creating small scenes that are embedded in thick glass. Making the glass thick in an unusual shape for depth and interest. Small so there are lots of options for displaying including on a desk.
Floral Murrini in a glass sculpture that also functions as a stand-up paperweight. Hold down your papers while displaying art that can be seen or display on its own.
Artistic process: Casting glass in layers to create a design with depth and dimension with inclusions of floral murrini. Glass cane with floral design is cut into short murrini and embedded in the kilncasting for the small "scape"
The bottom is ground to ensure a flat surface.
Dimensions (approximate): 4" tall x 5" wide x 1.5"deep
