Inspiration: Music can be inspiring, entertaining, relaxing and more. This sculpture was inspired while watching fireworks and listening to the perfect matching music.
Artistic Process:
The music notes are cut dichroic glass, the fireworks are made with glass that is heated very hot and then pulled out of the bottom of a kiln floor to very thin round "stringers", these colored stringers are then laid flat into a circle and heated up on their own in the kiln to full fuse which causes them to melt and fuse into interesting patterns. The design is added to a 2 layered black fused background.
Displayed in a Stainless steel sculpture stand painted black.
