Patterns of Blue, Green, and White Music Note Sculpture
Dimensions: 6.75" tall x 4.5" wide x 1.675" deep
Artistic Process: Various patterns of blue, green and white were made into pattern bars and then sliced on a tile saw, put into a pattern and fired into a large shape. A shape of a music note was cut with a ring saw. After grinding smooth all the edges and then it was fire polished in the kiln. The music note is epoxied to a stand that was made by cutting three pieces for varying sizes and tack fusing them into the stand.
Making music notes was inspired while I was playing the piano. I was learning a new piece that was complex for me. The music notes were staring back at me. All of a sudden, I started thinking about the concept of a music note sculpture. I immediately went to my studio to test out the idea and continue to refine the design as well as creating various color patterns.
