This Drape Vase is a beautiful addition to any home decor. It makes a special, unique, artisan made gift.
The artistic process: This vase was made by cutting multiple layers of different glasses with shards of glass on top in a specific pattern inside a stainless steel round mold as a dam to contain the glass. Using a specific program to ramp up and hold the heat in the kiln to boil, spread and stretch the glass to create a unique design. I then cut a circle of orange transparent glass to create a back with more depth and fired with an additional clear glass on top while also stretching the glass larger. The final step was to drape the glass over a stainless steel cone shape to create this unique shaped vase. The bottom is ground to create a smooth stable bottom for display
