Adventure Awaits

Inspiration:  So many Hiking trails, not enough time -- one of my favorite activities is to.put on my hiking boots and hike in nature  - locally, in National Parks and anywhere I can find a trail.  Inspiring and fulfilling.

Using some transparency in the glass to create one effect when the light is behind the art and a different look when the light is in front of the art (such as if its in front of a window -- it will look different during the day and at night). 

Artistic Process: Cutting and making glass to depict the trail and the vegetation/grass surrounding it and putting that all together using the heat of the kiln to fuse them together and then add texture for the rocks on the trail and the grass/vegetation with a lower firing temperature in the kiln. 

This stand is unique and an eye catcher.  The glass slides into place.
