This Drape Vase is a beautiful addition to any home decor. It makes a special, unique, artisan made gift. It shines and reflects in the light too!
The artistic process:The first step was cutting multiple layers of different glasses with shards of glass on top in a specific pattern inside a stainless steel round mold as a dam to contain the glass. Using a specific program to ramp up and hold the heat in the kiln to spread and stretch the glass to create a unique design. After coldworking the edges, I then added a circle of clear on the bottom and on the top and stretched out the design with heat in the kiln creating a gorgeous pattern on both sides.
The final step is to drape the glass over a stainless steel cone shape to create this unique shaped vase. The bottom is ground to create a smooth stable bottom for display
