This bowl is food safe and a perfect size for meals, serving side dishes and more. Its also a beautiful bowl to display when not using. The edges will reflect the light and radiate when on display.
Artistic Process: This bowl was made by cutting multiple layers of different glasses with shards of glass on top in a specific pattern inside a stainless steel round mold as a dam to contain the glass. Using a specific program to ramp up and hold the heat in the kiln to spread and stretch the glass to create a unique design. I then cut a circle of turquoise glass to create a better looking back and fired the design on top while also stretching the glass larger. The final step was to form into the shape of an organic wavy deep bowl.
