The artistic process: I start by designing and laying out the colors of glass and firing in the kiln to a full fuse. That piece is placed on a round ring that is elevated above the kiln floor. The kiln is programmed to heat to certain temperatures where I watch as the glass slowly drops through the inside of the rim until it touches the kilncasted foot on the kiln floor, I then flash cool to annealing temperatures.
