Green Dragonflies with a red flower in a glass sculpture
My inspiration: creating small scenes that are embedded in thick glass. Making the glass thick in an unusual shape for depth and interest. Small so there are lots of options for displaying including on a desk possibly as a standup paperweight.
Artistic process: Casting glass in layers to create a design with depth and dimension with inclusions of a casted dragonfly and Red flower. I added a green dragonfly outside for depth and additional interest.
The bottom is ground to ensure a flat surface.
Dimensions (approximate): 4" tall x 5" wide x 1.5"deep
