This Blue Topaz with Confetti Stripe Bubbly Drape Vase is a beautiful addition to any home decor. It makes a special, unique, artisan made gift. A bouquet of flowers will look lovely in this vase and this vase will look beautiful on its own.
The artistic process: I started with a Blue transparent transparent glass with a clear stripe in the center with "confetti" on top. I added ground glass of different sizes into a design pattern with an extra circle of glass in the center for strength. These were fired to a tack fuse. The final step is to drape the glass over a stainless steel cone shape to create this unique shaped vase. this requires lots of monitoring in the kiln to get the design I want. The bottom is ground flat.
