Transitions of the Seasons

Kilnfired wall art inspired by the wakes on the lake at sunset  

It started with a concept, then designing and laying out the cut glass, damming the glass to contain it, programming the kiln to slowly rise to over 1700 degree Fahrenheit then putting on protective gear and opening the kiln. I take a look at how the glass has formed now that its molten, then I rake the glass to create a design with more movement of the glass, then the glass is annealed and cooled, coldworked and finished into a design. 

This was professionally framed with wire for hanging.
