Inspiration: I love hiking as often as the weather and my schedule allows. I found this wood frame with the metal words "Take a Hike" and thought I could add glass to make it into an interesting artwork.
Artistic Process: The green background glass represents the brush and trees along a trail. The rock winding trail represents the hiking trail. All the rocks are glass. The design was fired together in the kiln to keep the texture. This was attached to the Wood frame with metal words "take a hike" on the front. The words were painted a sand color. This art looks best with front lighting.
The wood frame is deep enough to set on a shelf. It is wired on the back so it can be hung on the wall.
Dimensions: 18" wide x 6" tall x 1.75" deep
