Inspiration: Gorgeous Sunsets into the water especially the ones viewed from our lake.
Artistic Process: I made a background of colors to resemble a sunset over the water which took multiple firings in the kiln to get the right effect and texture. I separately made the glass lace using colors in a pattern to match the sunset background. the lace was added to the background with additional texture especially for the ground.
The glass art is mounted with standoffs to brushed stainless steel which shows reflections of the glass on the brushed stainless steel depending on the lighting. It is wired for hanging with welded brackets to keep the artwork flat and straight on the wall with no tilting.
