Inspiration: Playing with vibrant colors and melting in the kiln into a design related to rivers I have been kayaking lately.
Artistic Process:
the colorful components are made with glass that is heated very hot and then pulled out of the bottom of a kiln floor to very thin round "stringers", these colored stringers are then laid flat into a circle and heated up on their own in the kiln to full fuse which causes them to melt and fuse into interesting patterns. The design is added to a 2 layered lemongrass green fused background.
This was professionally framed with wire for hanging.
Dimensions: 9" wide x 9" tall x 1.5" deep
