Bird of Paradise in the Moonlight

This Bird of Paradise shines in the "moonlight".

Artistic Process: Aventurine blue glass was cut into the shape of a bird of paradise, then laid on a base glass.  glass was ground fine and laid to form the flower.  After the first firing in the kiln, shading and fine tuniing of the design with ground glass of different shades was used.   A final firing n the kiln to finish and fire polish. 

It is mounted on stainless steel painted black,  the art slides into the frame horizontally.  There is a wire ont he back for hanging.
