A glass sculpture in the shape of a triangle with rhythm and flows of blues and the sparkle of dichroic glass.
Inspiration: all the blues in nature - especially all the different shades of blue in the sky and water...
Artistic Process: First the design then lots of measuring and cutting of glass into 1 large triangle of dark blue and one small triangle of swirls of blue with a dark blue border. These 2 layers were fused together then coldworking the edges to ensure they are smooth and straight. The thicker components start with blue base, cutting up many different styles of dichroic glass and making a mosaic with clear glass on top to create depth, all casted. other dichroic components are cut. All the embellishments (components) were then tack fused to the background. Displayed in a black steel stand that keeps the sculpture very sturdy.
