Purple and White Channel Bowl

This bowl is food safe and a perfect size for meals, snacks and more.  Its also a beautiful bowl to display when not using. 

This bowl was made by cutting 3 layers of glass into a circle - clear, purple and white.   The purple and white were organically cut in the middle creating a channel.  The glass that was removed was cut up in to smaller components.  the glass was arranged in a dam to contain the size with the clear as the base then one half of the purple and white is the middle layer and then the other purple and white was place on top of the opposite color. This leaves an open channel.  The smaller components of purple and white are designed in a jaws technique which will flow with heat in the channel.  hese are fired to a full fuse to make them smooth and food safe  The final step was to form into the shape of a bowl.
