The background is 2 cut glass circles fused together first, then the flower petals and flower center were tack fused in a separate firing for texture and dimension.
The flower petals are made with pattern bars that are assembled in pairs for each petal. See Below for an explanation of a pattern bar. The center of the flower is made with ground glass and bits of dichroic glass for sparkle. The kilncasted caterpiller and ladybug are permanently fused to the artowrk.
The butterflies and bee are kiln-casted and installed with rare earth magnets and nesting standoffs, giving you option to exchange butterflies and easier to ship, move and install.
The artwork is mounted on brushed stainless steel, wired for hanging with welded brackets to keep the artwork flat and straight on the wall with no tilting.
Dimensions: 14" wide x 14" tall x 3" deep
