Inspiration: Kilnfired Glass art sculpture inspired during the KC Water Garden Society's tours. During the tours, the koi fish would all swarm when I walked up to the pond, some getting far out of the water and others further down. so fun to watch.
Artistic Process: The Koi fish are kiln-casted. The lily pads are cut glass. All tack fused to a aqua blue background. Which is installed to the wood portal frame and part of the wood and metal sculpture. The bottom of the wood stand is black felt.
Dimensions: Glass - 7" dia. Portal frame: 10.5" dia; Overall: 12" wide x 12" tall x 4" deep
